From east to west you can find the best beaches of golden sand and crystal clear “Mediterranean” waters. In the Algarve, you can find the best and most varied golf courses in Europe, which blend perfectly with their environment and provide some great golfing experience. Wining and dining in the Algarve is unforgettable and the fresh fish and seafood which go straight from the sea to the table make our restaurants some of the best in the world. The hot Algarve nights can be packed with entertainment or just spent enjoying the moonlight in an open-air café.

Faro

The regions capital. It offers excellent beaches, which are within easy reach, and there is a good nightlife scene. Faro is usually busy due to the fact that thousands of travellers pass through the on the way to and from the airport, which is located 6km west of the town.

The Senhora da Rocha

The Costa Vicentina

Nature conservancy area and the nearby sandy beaches.

Lagos

One of the Algarve’s most historic towns, with Mercado dos Escravos, the slave market and the churches of Santo Antonio and Santa Maria.

Praia de Rocha with its old fortress of St Catherine, which has striking views.

Alvor and Portimao for traditional fishing harbours.

Vilamoura

For its huge marina and excellent golfing facilities and numerous restaurants and boutiques. The resort also boasts two flawless beaches; Marina Beach to the east and Falesia Beach to the West.

Silves

A very historic town; the former Moorish capital of the Algarve; its landscape is dominated by a sandstone castle.

Albufeira

A lively resort with shops bars, cafes and a golden beach. It is now the Algarve’s largest resort, with bustling squares, myriad of restaurants and ‘The Strip’, where the liveliest bars, restaurants and nightclubs are located. A tunnel cut through the cliffs, provides access to an expanse of golden sand.
